- Large ears & eyes, pointed nose
- Small, streamlined body shape

House Mouse
(mus musculus)
- Small, 3-4″ body (plus 3-4″ tail)
- Grey-brown with cream underside
- Large ears relative to body size
- Capable of producing 8+ litters annually
Hazards
Rodents can transmit diseases through urine, droppings, and parasites. They damage property by gnawing on wires (fire hazard), contaminating food, and destroying insulation.
Signs of an Infestation
Droppings: Small, dark pellets along walls, in cupboards, or near food sources
Gnaw marks: Tooth marks on food packaging, wires, walls, and furniture
Unusual sounds: Scratching, scurrying noises in walls, ceilings, or under floors, particularly at night
